DELHI IBSEN FEST
December 3-14

The second annual Delhi Ibsen Festival, a Dramatic Art & Design Academy initiative celebrating the 19th century Norwegian playwright and his lasting influence on contemporary theatre, will be staging 10 productions over the first and second weeks of December. The line-up features five Indian entries, including the Kolkata-based Abinaya Theatre’s Lady of the Sea and Mumbai’s Pravah Theatre Laboratory’s Pillars of the Community. The international contingent is made up of theatre companies and producers from Bangladesh, Egypt, the Netherlands, Iran and China. The festival will wrap up on December 14 with a seminar on inter-cultural theatre. The shows’ main venues will be the LTG and Kamani Auditorium in Delhi.
