After Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh, now Bahujan Samaj Party is heading for deep disintegration after sudden expulsion its Muslim face and general secretary Naseemuddin Siddiqui for allegedly anti-party activities and taking money from cadre, it is now turned into one-to-one fight between him and party chief Mayawati.
Siddiqui alleged Mayawati had demanded 50 crore after the assembly election. He released audio tapes to support his charge. In the tapes, the BSP chief is directing him to fulfill her orders and collect money from the candidates. Mayawati is also heard directing him to deposit the fund collected during the membership drive. Earlier, BSP leader Satish Mishra announced the expulsion of Siddiqui and his son Afzaal, a zonal coordinator, from the party. He accused Siddiqui of owning slaughter houses and land in western UP, besides indulging in anti-party activities.
Expelled national general secretary of the BSP Naseemuddin Siddiqui on May 11 described party chief Mayawati as a gangster who leads a number of criminal gangs while she hit back labeling him âa habitual blackmailerâ.
A belligerent Siddiqui now said that on Mayawatiâs direction, members of her gang set afire the house of former UP Congress Committee president Rita Bahuguna Joshi, who is now cabinet minister in the BJP government.
Once a confidant of the BSP chief, he said âWhen I failed to fulfill her demand she expelled me from the party,â he said. âI joined BSP in 1984 and served it since then. I am aware of all the illegal investments made by Mayawati and her brother Anand. I will release more proof of her illegal properties to the media soon,â he said.
He also alleged the partyâs national general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra of amassing illegal assets.âWithin five years there was 200 crore increase in the value of Mishraâs property. Hutments of 150 Dalit families were razed for the construction of Mishraâs palatial bungalow. Mayawatiâs younger brother Anand was a daily wager with Noida Authority during Neera Yadav tenure as its CEO. Now he owns property worth 2,000 crore. Mayawati has also invested illegal money in immovable properties in various parts of the country,â Siddiqui said.
