US President-elect Donald Trump had apparently told Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC) that he was not going to endure a double game from India’s neighbours.
Pointing towards India’s neighbour Pakistan, RHC founder and Indian-American businessman Shalabh Kumar said that the US President-elect had made it very clear to him indeed.
In the fight against terrorism, defence cooperation between countries was a must. This would increase significantly after January 20, said Kumar. Close to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bharatiyua Janata Party, he is part of Trump’s team to help in transition.
He had donated $898,000 (around Rs 6 crore) towards Trump’s election campaign and also held a rally in Trump’s favour in New Jersey.
According to him, both he and the President-elect favoured an increase in trade between India and the US to $300 billion per annum from the current $100 billion per annum.
Trump, Kumar said, will be the best US President as far as India was concerned.
Manasvi Mamgai, his daughter said that Bollywood actors are slated to perform on Trump’s inauguration as 45th US President.
The panel for Trump’s swearing in ceremony and inaugural gave a list of 8,000 delegates from 40 organisations that have confirmed participation in the inaugural parade following the oath taking ceremony.
