For a second time, Hollywood production company 20th Century Fox has decided to lend its name to a theme park. Fox Studios announced a licensing partnership with Al Ahli Holding Group, for constructing a theme park, and resort, in Dubai, which will be opening in 2018.
The first time Fox did so was a partnership with Resorts World Genting in 2013 for a theme park in Malaysia, which is yet to be opened in 2017.
The cost of construction of the Fox World theme park is estimated at around $850 million.
Jeffrey Godsick, president of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, believes that, the upcoming world class Fox world destination will help in fueling Dubai’s emergence as a global tourism destination. This theme park will include attractions based on Fox blockbuster movies, like Ice Age, Rio, Planet of the Apes, Aliens, Predator, Night at the Museum, Titanic, The Simpsons and Sons of Anarchy.
For Titanic lovers, it will be a dream come true, as a ride inspired by the 1912 Titanic shipwreck is set to be launched at the park. With more such rides, this world-class destination promises to be an amazing experience!
